Charles Broadway - Chief of Police
Chief Charles “Chuck” Broadway is a 29-year law enforcement veteran and was appointed as the 35th Chief of Police for the Kissimmee Police Department on April 1, 2025.
Before joining Kissimmee, Chief Broadway served as the Chief of Police for the Clermont Police Department from 2012 to 2025. He brings a wealth of leadership experience, community engagement, and investigative expertise to his role.
A native of Long Island, New York, Chief Broadway graduated from St. John’s University in Queens with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He was also a four-year collegiate athlete, playing on the university’s football team.
Chief Broadway began his law enforcement career in 1996 with the New York City Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Detective. Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, he responded to Ground Zero to assist with search and recovery efforts.
In 2002, he relocated to Florida to be closer to family, joining the Gainesville Police Department as a Detective. Two years later, he continued his career with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) as a Special Agent, where he led multi-jurisdictional investigations into violent crimes, narcotics, gangs, and human trafficking. He was later promoted to Special Agent Supervisor and selected to lead FDLE’s Public Integrity Unit, overseeing investigations into officer-involved shootings and alleged misconduct by public officials throughout Central Florida.
Chief Broadway is the Immediate Past President of the Florida Police Chiefs Association and served on its Subcommittee on Accountability and Societal Change. He was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the newly formed Immigration Enforcement Council and also serves as Chair of the Juvenile Justice Information Systems Council. His leadership roles have also included President of the West Central Florida Police Chiefs Association and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute.
He is a graduate of numerous leadership programs, including the Florida Police Chiefs Association’s New Chief’s Seminar, the FBI’s Florida Executive Development Seminar, the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Chief Executive Seminar, and the Florida Leadership Academy.
Chief Broadway has been married to his wife Dana for 31 years. They attend Lakeside Church in Oakland, Florida, and are proud parents of four daughters and proud grandparents.

Wilson Munoz - Deputy Chief of Police
Interim Chief Wilson Munoz has been with the Kissimmee Police Department since July 1999. He is from Newark, New Jersey, and is a Marine Corp Veteran. Interim Chief Munoz obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and is a graduate of Valencia College Public Safety Leadership Development Certification Program. As the leader of the Operational Services Bureau, he oversaw the Patrol Division, Special Operations Division, and the Criminal Investigations Division. Deputy Chief Munoz has also commanded the Professional Standards Section, Patrol Division, Special Operations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Honor Guard Team, and Crisis Negotiations Team.
