The Public Works & Engineering Department provides essential services to the citizens of the City of Kissimmee by serving our citizens in a prompt, safe, respectful, and cost-effective manner that meets the needs of a growing and diverse community. This department is dedicated to fostering an efficient infrastructure that will plan, design, build, and maintain our city in a way that respects the environment and the people in it.

Engineering

oversees infrastructure planning, design, and development to support Kissimmee's growth and sustainability

Solid Waste

managing the collection, disposal, and recycling of residential waste materials

Stormwater

manages stormwater runoff to prevent flooding, protect water quality, and preserve natural resources

Streets & Sidewalks

maintains safe and accessible transportation infrastructure for residents and visitors

Traffic

City's team for traffic management, including traffic sign maintenance and installation, and road marking maintenance
