Starting Pay: Firefighter: $54,500

  • Paramedic Incentive: $10,500

Step 1.Check Your Eligibility

You are ineligible if you:

  • Are not a U.S. Citizen.
  • Have used tobacco or tobacco products within the past year.
  • Have used or possessed any controlled substance within the last three years.
  • Have a DUI/DWI conviction within the past four years.
  • Have been convicted of, pleaded "no contest" to, or had adjudication withheld for any felony crime.

Step 2.Complete Certification

Before applying you need to have Florida Fire Standards and Florida EMT Standards certifications. Paramedic certification is not required, but is preferred.
