Bicycle Safety

Schedule a helmet fitting/bike safety presentation

According to Florida law, children under 16 must wear a bicycle helmet while cycling.

Ensuring the correct type of helmet for the activity and a proper fit is crucial. Let our Community Engagement Unit know you'd like to schedule an appointment for a helmet inspection and bike safety presentation covering riding safety, including hand signals.

Schools and civic groups can schedule fittings and presentations as well.
